El Dr. Gerardo Xavier Lang Serrano es un reconocido Especialista en Neurocirugía de Costa Rica, altamente capacitado para diagnosticar y recomendar el mejor tratamiento médico y quirúrgico de enfermedades de la columna vertebral, del cerebro y sistema nervioso.

Actualmente es miembro activo de la Asociación Costarricense de Neurocirugía y destaca en la región al estar siempre acompañado en sala quirúrgica por otro neurocirujano, los dos especialistas junto con su neuroanestesiólogo, conforman un equipo de Primer Nivel en Neurocirugía para cirugías complejas de cerebro y columna, liderando asimismo en cirugías de columna mínimamente invasivas y en cirugías mínimamente agresivas de la base del cráneo (cirugías endoscópicas de la base del cráneo).
Una de las prioridades del especialista es su educación internacional continua, la cual se encuentra enfocada en los avances en las opciones de tratamiento que pueden significar la diferencia entre realizar a un paciente un procedimiento mínimamente invasivo a una cirugía convencional, buscando siempre minimizar el riesgo para el paciente, reduciendo su dolor y el tiempo de recuperación. En el año 2022 Colombia albergó a los más destacados representantes internacionales de la neurocirugía del mundo, en el XVII Congreso Mundial de Neurocirugía. El Dr. Lang Serrano fue uno de los asistentes y partícipes en los diálogos enfocados en avances científicos en el área de la neurocirugía, presentados por los más destacados investigadores en el campo.

Dr. Gerardo Xavier Lang Serrano is a renowned Costa Rican Neurosurgery Specialist, highly trained to diagnose and recommend the best medical and surgical treatment for diseases of the spine, brain, and nervous system.
The specialist stood out from the beginning, being recognized as an Honor Graduate, standing out among his fellow Neurosurgery Specialists from C.R. He is currently an active member of the Costa Rican Association of Neurosurgery and stands out in the region by always being accompanied in the operating room by another neurosurgeon.
